Affiliate Disclosure

This page explains where the money that pays for this workbook comes from. It is the full version of the statement that also appears on the homepage and beside every paid link.
The arrangement
Fourasia s.r.o. takes part in an affiliate programme for the computer game World of Warships, operated by an affiliate network, and our link points at a destination that network supplies.
If you follow one of those links and go on to download the game and create and activate an account, the network records that the visit came from this site and pays Fourasia s.r.o. a commission. That single opt-in — download, account created, account activated — is the whole of what the commission is paid for.
You pay nothing extra. The price of anything you might later buy inside the game is identical whether you arrived through our link, through a search result, or by typing the address yourself.
Where the paid links appear
There are four, all the same address.
- Step 1 — in the box on what we have and have not been told.
- Step 2 — in the note on system requirements.
- Step 3 — in the box pointing at the vendor's own documents.
- Step 4 — where the course discusses vendor sources.
Each carries a one-line note saying it is paid, opens in a new tab, is marked as a sponsored link for search engines, and points directly at the destination we were given. We do not route clicks through our own server, shorten or encode the address, or rewrite the link on click: what the status bar shows is where you go.
There are no paid links on the homepage, the All checklists page, About, Contact or any legal page. Links to Australian government bodies earn us nothing.
What the commission does not decide
It does not decide what the course says. The five steps were written about the category, and every exercise works against any vendor in it. Nothing becomes more positive, more urgent or more purchase-shaped because a commission exists at the end of it.
It does not decide which products are mentioned. Exactly one is named, as a worked example, and the course does not compare it to anything or suggest it is a good choice. We do not rank, score, review or award anything, so there is no table for a payment to move you up.
It does not decide what we claim. Everything this site says about World of Warships comes from the material supplied with the programme: that the network runs the game's affiliate programme, that commission is paid on a single opt-in consisting of a download and the creation and activation of an account, and that the game is published for desktop Windows and Mac with no Linux version. For anything more, we say the vendor publishes it and show you how to look it up.
What does decide the content
One test: does this help a beginner in Australia make an informed decision? Material that passes stays; material that exists only to move someone towards a click is cut. That is why the steps spend most of their length on things no vendor is paid for — hardware, agreements, classifications, spending limits, cancelling cleanly.
Two consequences follow, both deliberate. The course states repeatedly that deciding not to install anything is a complete outcome. And every checklist can be finished without following any paid link, spending anything or installing anything.
The About page sets out the editorial method in full: how the steps were ordered, which sources each relies on, how often the course is reviewed, and the same acknowledgement of this commercial relationship.
Why disclose at this length
Because a one-line disclosure at the foot of a page is a technicality, and the point is that you can weigh what you are reading. Knowing we are paid when someone signs up lets you read every sentence about that product with the appropriate suspicion.
It is also the law we operate under. Misleading or deceptive conduct in trade or commerce is prohibited by the Australian Consumer Law, and the ACCC publishes guidance on disclosure in advertising. Burying a commercial relationship would be the clearest way to fall foul of it.
